At Oxford Baptist Church we have built our children’s ministry around one idea: Jesus is the hero. Our desire is to get your children excited about Jesus, His Word, and serving Him. Each week our kids meet for small group time and then have their own worship during the regular morning worship time. These times are used to nurture your child in the gospel of Jesus Christ.

 

Oxford Students are believers on a journey together through one of the most difficult and challenging stages in life – School. We have Youth Ministry that meets Sunday Mornings before church and Wednesday night for a night of Bible study. The aim of the student ministry on all levels is to encourage your students to love Jesus. We understand loving Jesus as the only way to navigate life is through a deep love for King Jesus! 

 

Women’s ministry is a vital and vibrant ministry at Oxford. Our aim is to encourage women in all stages of life to love Jesus and live for Him. Our ladies take opportunities often for fellowship as well as Bible study opportunities.

 

Men’s ministry is a growing ministry at Oxford.  As the spiritual leader in their homes our men must also strive to be a support structure in the church.  Our men meet once a month for a time of fellowship over a dinner and then dedicate the last half of the evening exclusively devoted to prayer time.  Proverbs 27:17 says, “Iron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another.“

 

Our Senior Adults are awesome – they love Jesus and love His kingdom! These saints have been walking with our Lord for many years and make themselves available to help those new and younger in the faith to love and live for King Jesus. They get away from ministry every so often and take fun outings as well as engaging fellowships to encourage one another.

 

Everyone interested in becoming a covenant member at Oxford is invited to attend our Foundations New Member’s Orientation Class. The class meets with the Pastor for four consecutive Sundays, at 9:30am. Sign up for the class in the Welcome Room following the Worship Service.

 

We practice believers baptism by immersion. Baptism is the first step for a follower of Jesus Christ as well as their first public declaration of their belonging to Jesus! Baptism is also the believers connecting point to the Church.

 

We understand the Lord’s Supper as a chance for us to remember all that our Lord has accomplished for us through His death, burial, resurrection and His soon coming return. All who are have participated in believers baptism are invited to join in this worship event. We partake of the Lord’s Supper the first Sunday of each month. 

 

The fellowship of Deacons at Oxford are men who are dedicated to ensuring that ministry goes unhindered.  These men are the caretakers of ministry and ensure that the needs of our congregation are being met through assisting the pastor perform his overall ministry of spiritual nourishment through teaching ministry.
